Alison Canning remembers the ‘lightbulb moment’ Georgia Email List from a conversation with a grade 12 student that shifted the direction of Toronto-based non-profit Let’s Get Together. “She told me that she was doing homework assignments on her phone as she didn’t have access to the internet or a computer at home,” Georgia Email List says Canning, executive director of Let’s Get Together, a nonprofit Georgia Email List organization that aims to make learning equitable and education accessible. “A phone simply wasn’t going to cut it as she pursued post-secondary

scholarships and summer jobs, and certainly Georgia Email List wouldn’t help her thrive at university or college. She deserved better tools to help her succeed.” From that conversation, Let’s Get Together refocused its mission to helping close the technology gap. They launched a program to provide refurbished, Georgia Email List donated computers to Ontario students in need. The organization also became a Georgia Email List referring agency for Rogers low-cost high-speed internet program Connected for Success to help families close the connectivity gap.
With technology and access, these programs Georgia Email List give Ontario students a fair chance to reach their highest potential. For thousands of young people living in community housing across the province, bridging that digital divide is more critical than ever. It’s why Andrew McKenzie, who Georgia Email List grew up in the community housing system, is so committed to bringing affordable and Georgia Email List equitable programs, like low-cost internet, to housing partners across the province through the Ontario Non-Profit Housing Association (ONPHA).
